FIRST XV v BRYNMAWR SWITCHED TO BLAENAVON

After a disappointing defeat at Risca RFC last time out there is plenty to do on the training ground this week ahead of our next Swalec Division One East fixture against Brynmawr RFC on Saturday afternoon. As Brynmawr pitch is unplayable this game has now been switched to Blaenavon RFC.  Kick Off 2.30pm.

Earlier in the season, Brynmawr left the Recreation Ground in shock after a 75-7 rout where we crossed for a total of 11 tries after a crazy second half of rugby having only led 14-7 at half time. This will be a completely different test and one that we must be prepared for. Brynmawr is a difficult place to go and play rugby and fought hard to earn a losing bonus point against the league leaders two weeks ago on home soil and won well at Senghenydd RFC in their last game. We can not afford a similar performance to last week and the boys will be working hard to get back to winning ways.

We also welcome all representatives of Ystrad Rhondda 2nd's to the Recreation Ground to face our Yetties in the Ivor Williams Cup. Our Calves are also at home and we extend that welcome to all representatives of Cilfynydd RFC Youth. Both games also kick off at 2.30pm.

Best of luck to all sides in action on Saturday Afternoon.

First XV score updates will be live as usual on our Twitter feed through @Ynysybwl_RFC.
