With the Wales v Ireland Six Nations International on Friday night it brings a full domestic league fixture list on Saturday afternoon. Next up for our First XV is a tough away trip to Abertillery BG in Swalec Division One East, Kick Off - 2.30pm.
In the reverse fixture, we came away with a bonus point win after an entertaining 48-41 thriller at the Recreation Ground. On that day, the men in green and white provided a stern test and we expect nothing different on Saturday afternoon. Abertillery BG have won two of their last three games, two on the road with the other game a narrow home defeat to league leaders Rhydyfelin RFC.
We will make the trip on the back of a three game win streak but we will need to be at their very best, applying the right attitude from the start if we are to make that four.
In other senior fixtures, our Yetties travel to Llantrisant RFC 2nds after an excellent home win in difficult conditions last weekend and we welcome all representatives of Dowlais RFC Youth to Ynysybwl to take on our Calves. Both games kick off at 2.30pm.
