Another festive period passes and with that league action returns to Saturday afternoon and this weekend Ynysybwl RFC welcomes the committee, players and supporters of Senghenydd RFC to the Recreation Ground in Division One East. Kick Off 2.30pm. 

Prior to the Christmas break, we narrowly lost at home to league leaders Rhydyfelin in what turned out to be a hard fought derby encounter but there were plenty of positives to take from the game. Our clear message to each other post match was to ensure that we retain and apply that same attitude, desire and want into the next game and for the remainder of the season. 

Senghenydd RFC are next up and with having already played them twice this season we know the challenge that awaits. We have edged victorious on both of those occasions but there is no doubt amongst the camp that we will be wanting to make that three from three. With plenty of boys putting hands up for shirts, selection will be tough for this weeks game but that is a positive headache to have for the coaching staff. 

Our Youth are also in action this weekend and we extend that welcome to all representatives of Treharris Youth. This game also kicking off at 2.30pm. At this stage there is no scheduled game for the Yetties but should that change, any additional details will be updated here.

On Sunday, we have another game on home soil and we welcome all representatives of Seven Sisters Ladies in a third versus second game which could be a thriller. Earlier in the season our Ladies went down 12-3 at the hands of this weekends opponents and a win on Sunday against Seven Sisters could push us one spot further up the league ladder. This game also kicks off at 2.30pm
