This weekend brings the first round of the 2016/17 Swalec Plate and an away tie against fellow Division One East opponents Senghendd RFC. It will certainly be an intriguing contest after an opening day league win for us on the same soil with Senghenydd wanting to turn the tables and progress to the next stage.
After a bright start, we have lost two on the bounce in the league and the boys want to ensure that those wrongs are put right this weekend. We know it will be a difficult task. Senghenydd will be up for it on their own patch but the attitude has been excellent on the training paddock this week and hopefully that will reflect on Saturday afternoon.
In other Saturday fixtures, our Yetties host Abercynon RFC and our Calves are on the road to Llantwit Fardre Youth.
