Ynysybwl are throught to the second round of the Swalec Plate after a narrow victory at Senghenydd RFC. 

Three first half tries from Alex Taylor, Greg Mogford and Dewi Voyle with one conversion from the boot of Dion McIntosh ensured we led 6-17 at the interval.

The saints converted an early try in the second half to reduce the deficit to four points before Dewi Morris scored his third try in two weeks. McIntosh added a further penalty later in the half to extend our lead to 13-25 with ten minutes left on the clock. Senghenydd were resolute in their defence and were rewarded for their efforts with with another converted score two minutes from time but we held on to ensure that we were in the draw for the next round.
